The director of the Catalunya Europa Foundation recently traveled to Brussels to visit various European institutions and entities, an opportunity to present the Foundation’s projects and build alliances with political representatives and EU organizations.
During the visit, she met with prominent Members of the European Parliament, including Laura Ballarin and the team of Javi López (PSC), as well as members of the S&D parliamentary group. She also met with Vicent Marzà (Compromís), Jaume Asens (Comuns), and Diana Riba (Esquerra Republicana), all members of the Greens/EFA group. These meetings allowed for discussions on cooperation and the sharing of experiences regarding Catalonia’s participation in European processes.
In addition, the director of the Foundation held meetings with representatives of the Spanish Government and the Generalitat to the EU, including Fernando Sampedro, Secretary of State for the EU, and Esther Borràs, Delegate of the Generalitat in Brussels, strengthening institutional ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration.
This trip exemplifies the Foundation’s commitment to consolidating its presence at the European level and promoting dialogue between institutions, political representatives, and social organizations.
